On October 1, 2017, I was privileged to assume the helm of the “New” NTA. We’re all aware of the ups and downs the NTA has endured and it has taken years to right this ship. Through the efforts of many, the NTA has become a healthy and viable organization.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of some of the most respected folks in our industry. It is a geographically diverse group hailing from all parts of the country. We believe it is important that our membership be supported by NTA leadership living and working as close to them as possible.
We will continue the tradition of an annual convention that will rotate among three venues. One site in the west, one in the east and one centrally located. It is our hope that this consistency will increase participation because members can plan their attendance well in advance of the event.
Membership dues and our annual convention are the primary funding sources of the NTA. Memberships are now set up to renew annually and automatically from the date of
purchase. This system will better ensure actual membership renewal and provide a full year of membership.
We invested in a new website that will be up and running in the spring of 2018. It is our hope that that this will streamline our day to day operations as well as make convention registrations more user friendly for all of us.
