Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics of the National Taxidermists Association is meant to inspire.

 

ADVOCACY
To serve yourself and NTA interest by acting as a responsible advocate for those we represent. We provide a voice in the taxidermy industry of ideas, facts, and viewpoints to aid in the education and the art of taxidermy.

HONESTY
As a NTA member I will adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and truth in advancing the interests of the taxidermy industry we represent and in communicating with the public.

EXPERTISE
As a NTA member I will acquire and responsibly share the specialized knowledge and experience needed to promote the taxidermy industry. I will advance the profession through continued professional development, research, and education. I will build mutual understanding, credibility, and relationships among a wide array of taxidermist.

INDEPENDENCE
As a NTA member I will hold myself accountable for my actions.

LOYALTY
As a NTA member I will be faithful to those taxidermists I represent, while honoring my obligation to serve the NTA interest.

FAIRNESS
As a NTA member I will deal fairly with all other taxidermists, clients, employees, competitors, and vendors. I will respect all other taxidermists’ opinions and support the right of free expression.

COMPETITION
As a NTA member I will promote a healthy and fair competition among taxidermists while preserving an ethical climate, and fostering a robust competition for all to learn and share.

PLEDGE
As a NTA member I pledge:

To conduct myself professionally and with truth, accuracy, fairness, and responsibility to the NTA; To improve my individual competence and advance the knowledge and proficiency of the profession of taxidermy through continuing research and education; and to adhere to the Bylaws of the NTA. I understand and accept that there is a consequence for misconduct, up to and including membership revocation.
