The ALL NEW NTA Insurance Programs for Taxidermists

Did You Hear?
When Does Insurance Matter and Makes A Difference?
ALL the time!

Business Insurance For Your Taxidermy Studio and MORE!

As a dues paying member of the NTA, you are automatically receiving a $10,000 AD&D Life Insurance Policy. This is a very unique benefit to belonging to this association, and very few groups offer this benefit. A thorough explanation of the coverage is available on the NTA website and is also included in your renewal packet yearly.

Other exciting news regarding insurance is Coastal Plains Outdoors is involved in providing coverage to NTA members and their businesses. This new business insurance tailored to taxidermists is similar to two (2) other plans previously offered to our members with the additional benefit of being able to fashion your program to your unique needs. As in the past…this business insurance can only be offered to taxidermists if the program has enough interest from members. We must support this program. NTA headquarters receives more mail and telephone calls with regard to business insurance needs…here it is! It is up to members to see that the program is sustained. If you are interested in obtaining business insurance for your shops and studios you only need to request an application for a quote by contacting NTA headquarters (ntahq@aol.com).

Coastal Plains Outdoors understands your commitment to your
outdoor business clients.
We also know that no matter what your particular operation encompasses, you must protect your assets. To the left, you'll see examples of the many types of commercial & private insurance packages Coastal Plains Outdoors offers coast to coast.

Life Insurance Beneficiaries

Members have requested beneficiary changes on their AD&D insurance policies. As a matter of plan design, Accidental Death and Dismemberment policies have no provision for estate designations. In order to designate the disbursement of Death proceeds, you simply need to have a will. If you choose not to testate, the normal procedure is for the state to distribute the assets to the next rightful owner. If an NTA member wished to indicate how his/her assets should be distributed, I would suggest they write the information down and keep it in a safe place. Neither the NTA headquarters, nor the insurance company will be responsible for your wishes.

We are looking forward to the program COASTALPLAINSOUTDOORS.COM has designed for NTA members. In the meantime, take a look at their website. They have been in business to help sportsmen and women for some time. They insure property and assets many members have requested in the past, i.e. hunting clubs, guides and outfitters, and new products on the market for product liability. Check it out.

Accidental Death & Disability * Studio * Health The NTA has been working overtime to respond to its members' request. More INSURANCE benefits!

Accidental Death & Disability

For many years the NTA has included a $10,000 AD & D insurance policy with your membership. Well, it just got better! We have added three new items to this policy.

Emergency Evacuation Benefit-You will receive covered emergency evacuation expenses reasonably incurred if you suffer an injury or emergency sickness that warrants emergency evacuation while you are outside a 100 mile radius from your current place of primary residence, up to a maximum of $25,000.00 for all emergency evacuations due to all injuries from the same accident or all emergency sickness from the same or related causes.
Repatriation of Remains Benefit-If you suffer loss of life due to injury while outside a 100 mile radius of your current place of primary residence, the insurance company will pay for covered expenses reasonably incurred to return your body to the current place of primary residence, up to a maximum of $5,000.00. Covered expenses include, but are not limited to, expenses for: (1) embalming or cremation; (2) the most economical coffins or receptacle adequate for transportation of the remains; and (3) transportation of the remains by the most direct and economical conveyance and route possible.
Rehabilitation Benefit-If you suffer an accidental dismemberment or an accidental paralysis for which an AD &D or paralysis benefit is payable under the policy, you will be reimbursed for covered rehabilitative expenses that are due to the injury causing the dismemberment or paralysis. The covered rehabilitative expenses must be incurred within two years after the date of the accident causing that injury, up to a maximum of $5,000.00 for all injuries caused by the same accident.
The above information is lengthy and detailed and would be costly for the NTA to include in member renewal packets. For a copy of the detailed information on the above new benefits send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: New AD & D Benefits, NTAHQ, 108 Branch Drive, Slidell, LA 70461.

More Good News on INSURANCE!

Taxidermy Studio

There's always the chance of a fire in your area. Are you willing to lose the house on it? You'd be surprised how many taxidermists are still willing to risk everything they have over a small insurance premium. In too many cases, we don't have insurance because we make the mistake of believing our homeowners' insurance will cover our business. It doesn't in most cases. Most insurance companies won't insure a taxidermy business. Well, the NTA has obtained insurance for basic coverage for your business. This is a general liability program and only offers of liability are $1,000,000.00. Premiums will be varied depending on your answers to the following list of items you would need to submit. But whatever the price it could hardly be considered a lot for the peace of mind that comes with knowing you can depend on a policy that's for taxidermists. Don't take a chance.
