NTA Convention and Competition Latest Updates
Making Your NTA Convention Easy: When I arrive at the convention what is the first thing I do? First, proceed to the NTA Convention Registration Desk to pick up your convention packet. You must be registered first, with your competition entry cards in hand prior to visiting the Competition Area. Once I pick up my registration packet at the NTA Convention Registration Desk, what do I do with my competition piece? Once you have your registration packet and competition entry cards in hand, then you will proceed to the NTA Competition Area. First, you will provide personnel with a competition entry card (this is a tan card you receive when you pay an entry fee). Personnel will then present you with a white, mount entry card which requires you to provide information about your entry. This data will be entered into the competition database to assist judges and competition personnel. Once you have registered your mount, staff will provide you with a receipt so you may retrieve your mount Saturday evening. *You will be provided ample time to groom and photograph your entry. Upon registering entries in the competition area, competitors are to certify that their entry or entries were mounted fully and completed by them. (Exceptions are large life-size entries as per NTA Competition Rules). Competitor must read, fully understand and agree that they have and will abide by all terms and conditions as set forth in the NTA Competition Rules. What if I have large competition entries? You should follow the above procedures first. Bobby Lofton is the NTA Convention Manager. Assistant managers include Dave Blank, Dave Hale, Billy Hale and John Janelli. Convention Support include: Joe Kaiser, Richard Noles, Mary Lou Crabtree and Tinker Johnson, as well as other available Board Members. Any of the show personnel can assist you in transporting your entry to the competition area. NTA staff and Convention Support are dressed in polo shirts which read “Team NTA.” What if I paid for more mounts than I brought? Can I get a refund? Sorry, no refunds. However, you may sell your ticket to a member at a reduced rate as on-site entry fees are higher than pre registered entry fees. What is a Judges Protest Fee?
When can I pick up my competition entry? Entries may not be picked up until the close of the competition area on Saturday afternoon @ 4:45 PM. You must provide your competition entry receipt (white) which was given to you at the time you entered your competition piece. Please note: All competitor scoresheets must be picked up by 1:00 PM on Saturday in the competition area. There will be no taped judge’s critiques available.
